Torriano Poetry Competition 2010 |

Due to adverse weather conditions delaying the judging process, the announcement of the winners of this year's competition has been delayed by one month. The prize-giving reading at Torriano Meeting House will now take place on Sunday April 11th.

The next poetry reading at Torriano Meeting House takes place on Sunday 14th March 2010 at 7.30pm. The readers are Jacqueline Gabbitas and David Floyd plus special guests. Further details of upcoming readings are here. Torriano Meeting House is here.

Hearing Eye publisher and poet John Rety died suddenly in early February from a heart attack. John was a much-loved figure in the worlds of poetry, political activism and beyond. There have been many tributes to John including this one by Hearing Eye poet, Harry Eyres, in the Financial Times. The memorial gathering for John will be from 6-10pm on Friday 19th March, at the Art Workers Guild, 6 Queen Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3AT.
