Ruth Ingram’s main interest is in translating poetry. For the past ten years she has organised a bi-monthly workshop for translating poetry from French and German. The group has published two anthologies, both available at the South Bank Poetry Library. A long translation of hers appeared in Modern Poetry in Translation, and poems by Ingeborg Santor in Hearing Eye’s Between Languages. In Exile, a collection of translations of three 20th century Jewish poets, has recently been re-printed.
